Role Overview

SureCost is seeking an experienced Marketing Operations Manager to own and optimize the systems, processes and data that power our marketing engine and serve as a strategic partner to Marketing and Revenue leadership, shaping scalable growth strategy through data, systems architecture and performance insights. AI is central to how this role operates, from predictive lead scoring and AI-assisted reporting to automated data hygiene, so you can turn our marketing stack into a faster, smarter growth engine, not just a well-maintained one.

This role is ideal for a highly organized, data-driven marketer who thrives at the intersection of strategy, technology and AI-enabled execution. You'll be responsible for managing our marketing technology stack, with HubSpot at the center, ensuring operational excellence across campaigns, reporting, lead management and cross-functional alignment. This role reports directly to the VP of Marketing and works closely with Demand Generation, Events, Sales, Revenue Operations and Leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the strategic architecture and administration of Marketing Hub within HubSpot, including marketing automation, lead scoring, lifecycle stage workflows and integrations with marketing tools.
  • Design and evolve scalable marketing processes aligned to revenue strategy, leveraging AI and automation to improve efficiency, scalability and performance.
  • Manage campaign setup, QA, execution support and post-campaign reporting, using AI-assisted analytics to speed up performance analysis and surface insights faster than manual review.
  • Act as the operational liaison with our SEO/web development team, ensuring tracking, tagging and attribution are implemented correctly across the website and campaign properties.
  • Partner with Demand Generation and Events on campaign setup, aligning on goals, timelines and KPIs and ensuring accurate measurement in HubSpot.
  • Coordinate with the SEO/web development team on tracking implementation, form builds and reporting integrations.
  • Ensure clean, accurate and actionable marketing data across systems, using AI-powered data enrichment and hygiene tools to maintain quality at scale.
  • Support the BDR team by optimizing lead routing, lifecycle stages and handoff processes within HubSpot, incorporating AI-based lead scoring and next-best-action recommendations.
  • Partner with the BDR Manager to ensure accurate tracking, reporting and performance visibility across inbound and outbound activities.
  • Maintain and improve workflows, automation and alerts — including AI-triggered alerts for at-risk or high-intent accounts — that enable timely and effective BDR follow-up.
  • Ensure data quality and CRM hygiene to support BDR productivity and reliable reporting.
  • Collaborate with the BDR team on campaign targeting, list management and segmentation, using AI-assisted segmentation and predictive targeting where useful.
  • Provide operational support for BDR enablement initiatives, including tools, dashboards and process documentation.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reporting frameworks, increasingly using AI-powered analytics and natural-language reporting tools that inform strategic decision-making and optimize marketing investment against revenue goals.
  • Collaborate with Sales Leadership and Revenue Operations to align on lead management, handoffs and attribution.
  • Evaluate, implement and manage marketing tools and integrations as needed, with a bias toward AI-enabled capabilities that improve speed, accuracy or scale.
  • Serve as the go-to expert for marketing systems, data, AI tooling and operational best practices.

AI & Automation

  • Own the evaluation and rollout of AI features across the marketing stack (e.g., HubSpot's native AI tools, predictive lead scoring, AI content and workflow assistants), recommending where they can replace manual work or improve accuracy.
  • Use AI-assisted analytics and natural-language query tools to accelerate reporting, surface trends, and flag anomalies in campaign or funnel performance before they become problems.
  • Apply AI-based data cleansing and enrichment tools to maintain high-quality, actionable CRM and marketing data at scale.
  • Use AI meeting and transcription tools (e.g., Fathom or similar) to speed up cross-functional syncs with Sales, BDR and Revenue Operations.
  • Stay current on emerging AI capabilities relevant to marketing operations and bring recommendations for tools or workflows worth piloting.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Marketing Operations or similar role.
  • Hands-on, advanced experience with HubSpot required.
  • Strong understanding of B2B demand generation, lead lifecycle management and marketing automation.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools within a marketing automation platform (e.g., HubSpot's AI features, predictive lead scoring, AI-assisted reporting), or a demonstrated track record of adopting AI tools to improve marketing operations efficiency.
  • Comfortable using generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) for analysis, documentation and workflow design.
  • Proven ability to analyze data, identify insights and make recommendations.
  • Experience working closely with Sales and Revenue teams.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a process-oriented mindset.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute marketing operations strategy aligned to company growth objectives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in B2B SaaS or technology-driven organizations.
